Ordering a 4200KG Two-Post Lift: Model Identity, Accessories and Documents

Turn a generic 4.2T lift enquiry into a clear order: confirm the 4200KG model, arm and adapter scope, electrical version and installation documents.

Identify the actual product before approving the order

The current EHRLE catalogue includes a two-post hydraulic lift identified as 4200KG and a separate EF450 floor-plate model. Both are rated at 4,200 kg. An order description that says only “4.2T two-post lift” does not distinguish them or settle the supplied configuration.

Ask the quotation, configuration sheet and installation documents to identify the same product. The 4200KG identifier is not evidence of extra capacity compared with a 4.2 metric-tonne lift. Its useful role in purchasing is to identify the particular catalogue entry whose dimensions and supplied equipment must be confirmed.

Use dimensional differences to check document consistency

The 4200KG record lists 3,370 mm overall width, 2,790 mm between pillars and 2,780 mm overall height. The separate EF450 lists 3,530 mm overall width and 3,000 mm clear column spacing. These differences show why documents for another lift with the same rating cannot be substituted.

Ask the supplier to identify each measurement on the selected drawing. Post spacing and overall width describe different positions; neither is automatically a drive-through dimension. A document package carrying another model’s layout needs clarification before the installer uses it for the site.

Make the arm and adapter configuration part of the supply schedule

The 4200KG record lists a 120 mm minimum height and 1,850 mm maximum lifting height. Those figures do not establish compatibility with every vehicle below 4,200 kg. Arm geometry, support adapters, approved vehicle lifting points, ground clearance and load distribution must be assessed together.

The current configuration information specifically requires final confirmation of arm reach, adapters, release mechanism and column/base details. Request the applicable arm-range information and itemized pad or adapter package for your intended vehicles. Do not infer these details from the picture or from a different two-post model.

Treat equipment height as a layout input, not a ceiling recommendation

The 2,780 mm overall-height figure describes the listed equipment. The building must also accommodate the actual vehicle at the intended lift position, overhead obstructions and the operating arrangement. The current record does not establish a minimum ceiling height simply equal to the equipment height.

Send the measured bay dimensions and vehicle information with the enquiry. Obtain the installed layout and operating envelope for the exact version. Foundation and anchoring requirements must likewise come from the selected model documents and a professional assessment of the actual site, rather than another 4.2T lift’s drawing.

Specify one compatible electrical version

The 4200KG record lists a 2.2 kW motor with 110 V, 220 V or 380 V options. Phase and frequency need confirmation for the order. These are configuration choices, not proof of automatic multi-voltage operation on one delivered machine.

State the workshop supply in the purchase specification and request confirmation of the matching power unit and electrical documentation. The EF450 has its own listed supply options, so a shared motor-power value does not make its electrical version interchangeable.

Request a document package that follows the delivered configuration

Before final order approval, request:
1. Exact product identifier and confirmed rated capacity.
2. Configuration sheet covering arms, adapters, release arrangement and column/base details.
3. Installed dimensions and the relevant vehicle-support range.
4. Foundation, anchoring and electrical documents applicable to that version.
5. An itemized supplied-equipment and accessory list.
6. Installation, commissioning, operating and maintenance instructions for the delivered model.
7. Model-specific certification documents if required for the destination.

Record unresolved items in the quotation rather than filling them with assumed specifications. Ask the supplier to identify the applicable document revision so the buyer and installer use the same information. This is a request for a consistent handover package, not a claim that every document has already been provided.

At delivery, compare identity and scope with the agreed order

Use the agreed configuration sheet and equipment list to check that the delivered model identification, power-unit version and accessories correspond to the order. If the documentation or supplied items differ, ask the supplier to resolve the difference before those documents are relied on for installation or operation.

The inspection should distinguish what is visibly delivered from what still requires technical confirmation. A matching capacity marking alone does not prove matching arm geometry or installation requirements. Send EHRLE your vehicle range, bay information, electrical supply and destination to prepare the model-specific scope and documents.

FAQ: Does 4200KG mean more capacity than 4.2T?

No. The record lists 4,200 kg, equivalent to 4.2 metric tonnes. The identifier distinguishes the product entry; it does not increase its rating.

FAQ: Can I use the EF450 installation drawing for this lift?

Do not substitute it. The listed dimensions differ, and the 4200KG configuration requires its own foundation, anchoring and equipment details. Obtain the documents for the supplied model.

FAQ: Does 120 mm minimum height guarantee access under a low car?

No. Vehicle lifting points, arm geometry, adapters and ground clearance must be checked together. Request confirmation for the actual vehicle and supplied support arrangement.

Confirm the delivered configuration and its documents in the quotation; image markings are not a substitute for the applicable certification documents.
