Car Lift Buying Guide
Select a vehicle lift around the vehicles, service tasks and installation site. Rated capacity is the first check; geometry, load distribution and the supplied configuration also matter.
Start with the work your bay needs to do

Compare the two 4.2T models
EF450 uses a floor-plate arrangement. EC450 uses an overhead connecting structure. Both list 4,200 kg capacity, but their minimum heights, equipment dimensions and installation requirements differ. Use the model-specific drawing when planning access and ceiling clearance.
Capacity and vehicle fit are separate checks
A vehicle below the lift rating still needs compatible lifting points, suitable reach and acceptable load distribution. For EVs, battery housings and designated lifting points must remain clear. For runway lifts, platform length alone does not establish the approved wheelbase range.
Specify the electrical supply
Send the destination country, voltage, phase and frequency. A voltage option on a product page does not establish that every phase or frequency is available. Confirm the selected motor and control configuration in the quotation.
Obtain the installation drawing before preparing the floor
Equipment height is not the required ceiling height. Account for the raised vehicle and operating clearances. Concrete, anchors, pit layout and electrical installation must follow the documentation for the supplied configuration and the applicable site requirements. Do not apply another lift model’s foundation figures to your order.
Match documents to the exact model
Review the certificate holder, covered model, document number and scope in the certificate library. ISO 9001 concerns the holder’s quality management system; it is not a blanket product certificate. Do not assume a certificate for one model covers every model or destination.
Prepare a useful quotation request
- Model or service task and quantity.
- Vehicle types, weights, wheelbases and lifting-point information.
- Bay dimensions, ceiling height and existing floor information.
- Voltage, phase, frequency and destination.
- Required accessories, documentation, packing and delivery terms.
Ask for the warranty scope, spare-parts arrangements and installation support for the selected order. These terms should be confirmed in writing.
