Alignment Turnplates and Rear Slip Plates: What to Specify Before Ordering

Review the plate package for 6018C and BH6108: interfaces, adjustment positions, locking instructions and compatibility with the separately specified alignment equipment.

Specify the plate arrangement as part of the alignment bay

An alignment-lift enquiry should identify more than runway length and rated capacity. It should state the front turnplates, rear slip plates, their positions and the equipment with which they will be used. Those details belong to the vehicle-support arrangement; a separate measuring system still needs its own specification.

EHRLE 6018C lists front turnplates and rear slip plates on a surface-mounted 4,000 kg lift. BH6108 describes adjustable front turnplate positions and rear slip plates on a recessed 4,000 kg main lift. Neither description supplies every plate-interface dimension or proves compatibility with every aligner.

Movement at the plates and measurement are separate functions

Turnplates and slip plates provide the moving support interfaces used in the alignment arrangement. The measuring machine, targets, clamps or sensors perform a different role and must be specified separately. A plate visible on a runway is not evidence that the quotation includes the complete measuring system.

Manufacturer Hunter’s rack-accessory brochure describes free movement during alignment, different turnplate pocket fits and bridges for rolling compensation with camera-based sensors. This illustrates why the physical interface and measurement workflow need review together. It does not establish Hunter accessory compatibility with either EHRLE model.

6018C: confirm the supplied plates and their interfaces

The 6018C record lists 4,500 × 630 mm runways with front turnplates and rear slip plates. Its measuring machine, targets and clamps are separate equipment unless expressly included. A rolling bridge jack is also an option with its own specification.

Ask for the actual plate model or identification, quantity, mounting or pocket drawing, locking arrangement and applicable use instructions. The current record does not provide a verified turnplate pocket depth, movement range or universal supported wheelbase range. Keep these items pending until the selected configuration documents establish them.

BH6108: adjustable front positions need an actual range

BH6108 also lists 4,500 × 630 mm runways. Its current record describes adjustable front turnplate positions and rear slip plates, but supplies no numerical turnplate-position adjustment range. The word adjustable therefore does not establish that every intended vehicle can use the plates in the required position.

Provide the vehicle wheelbase, tire-position information and the aligner’s positioning requirements. Request a drawing showing the usable front positions and the rear support area for the quoted equipment. Its integrated 3,000 kg secondary scissor stage is a separate function; that stage does not replace the plate-position review.

Check interfaces before proposing an accessory substitution

A plate package needs to match the selected runway and the intended use. Ask about its mounting or pocket dimensions, working surface, permitted loads, movement and locking arrangements. If the measurement workflow needs bridges or other components, identify them in the supplier-approved package rather than assuming a photograph shows all required items.

The Hunter brochure gives model-specific fit information for its accessories. Do not copy its dimensions or automatic-control features into an EHRLE order. A similarly shaped plate from another lift is not proven interchangeable. Require written confirmation of any proposed substitution for the exact lift and alignment arrangement.

Keep locking instructions tied to the actual alignment process

Ask the lift and aligner suppliers to explain the required plate state at each applicable stage through their supplied instructions and training. A generic manual-pin description or an example of automated locking from another brand does not establish the sequence on 6018C or BH6108.

This guide does not prescribe when to release or reinsert pins, how to move a vehicle for compensation, or how to modify a plate. It identifies the information to resolve before purchase and handover so operators can use the correct equipment-specific instructions.

A quotation and handover checklist for the plate package

Provide the vehicle range and exact intended aligner, then request:
1. Identification and quantity of front turnplates and rear slip plates.
2. Mounting or pocket dimensions and the supplied interface components.
3. Usable front adjustment positions and rear support area for the vehicles.
4. Applicable load limits, movement limits and locking instructions.
5. Any required bridges or other workflow accessories, with inclusion stated.
6. Written compatibility confirmation, applicable inspection/maintenance instructions and operator training.

At handover, match the delivered plate package to that schedule and its documents. Resolve unidentified substitutes or missing interface information before treating the bay as a confirmed alignment system. Contact EHRLE with your vehicle and aligner details to review the 6018C or BH6108 configuration.

FAQ: Do front turnplates and rear slip plates measure alignment by themselves?

The current records treat the measuring equipment as a separate supply decision. Specify the actual machine and its targets, clamps or sensors, then confirm its compatibility with the lift and plate arrangement.

FAQ: Does adjustable mean BH6108 accepts every wheelbase?

No such universal range is established. Obtain the actual adjustment limits and review the intended vehicles against the front and rear support positions and the measuring equipment’s requirements.

FAQ: Can I replace the plate package with a similar-looking set?

Only a supplier-approved compatibility review can establish the proposed substitution. Confirm the mounting, dimensions, load and movement limits and required instructions; appearance alone is insufficient.

This guide uses published, enabled and verified EHRLE 6018C and BH6108 records checked on 21 October 2026, plus Hunter’s Lift Rack Accessories brochure for general examples of interface-specific accessories. No Hunter part, dimensions, automation or performance is represented as supplied by EHRLE.

The cover and gallery are product scene illustrations, not customer installations or dimensional interface drawings. The optional jack visible in the 6018C scene is not proof of inclusion. Use the actual order and selected drawings to establish plate and accessory scope.
