Does a Portable Scissor Lift Need Compressed Air? Check the Release System

Use the 6010B/6010C specifications to separate electric and pneumatic release, input power and 24 V controls before arranging workshop utilities.

The release configuration answers the air-supply question

The current EHRLE 6010B/6010C specification lists electric lock release as standard and a pneumatic-release option subject to order confirmation. It does not establish one compressed-air requirement for every version. Before arranging workshop utilities, identify which release configuration is actually being quoted.

“Electro-hydraulic” describes the listed drive mode; it does not, on its own, identify every utility needed by an optional release system. Ask the supplier to state the release method and any associated air requirement in the equipment schedule. This is more useful than assuming all portable scissor lifts need the same connections.

Keep the ordered model separate from its utility options

The 6010B is rated at 3,000 kg with 1,000 mm maximum lifting height. The 6010C is rated at 4,000 kg with 1,200 mm maximum lifting height. Both list a 105 mm minimum height. The capacity belongs to the complete lift, not to each platform.

Their support dimensions also differ. Each 6010B platform is 460 mm wide and 1,420 mm long, extending to 2,028 mm. Each 6010C platform is 530 mm wide and 1,570 mm long, extending to 2,175 mm. Confirm the exact model first, then specify its release system, electrical version and accessory package. A shared product-family name does not make the two models dimensionally interchangeable.

Input supply and 24 V controls are different specifications

The 6010B/6010C record lists a 1.5 kW motor, 110 V, 220 V or 380 V power-supply choices, 50 Hz or 60 Hz options and 24 V control voltage. The 24 V value is a control specification; it does not replace the required input-power specification.

The listed voltages are order choices, not proof that a delivered unit accepts every voltage automatically. Provide the workshop voltage, phase and frequency, and request one compatible configuration in the quotation. Have the supplier provide the electrical documentation for that version; this guide does not specify wiring, protective devices or cable sizes.

For pneumatic release, request the missing requirements explicitly

If a pneumatic-release version is selected, obtain its documented air-supply requirements before deciding what the workshop must provide. The current product record does not publish a universal air-pressure value. Do not copy a pressure figure from a different lift or assume an existing compressor is suitable without checking the selected version.

Ask which air connection, supply conditions and accessories the release arrangement requires, and which parts are included in delivery. These are questions to resolve with the supplier, not a claim that a particular hose, regulator or other component is always required or included. Keep the confirmed requirements with the order documents so the installer works from the same specification.

A comparison model shows why utility assumptions do not transfer

The 6016 is a 3,500 kg surface-mounted full-rise double-scissor lift. Its record lists 220 V or 380 V power options, 24 V controls, a separate control cabinet and a wired pendant. Phase and frequency require confirmation. The current specification does not establish its release-system utility requirements, so neither the standard electric release nor the optional pneumatic arrangement of the 6010 family should be assigned to the 6016 by assumption.

The 6016 layout also needs the cabinet position, operator access and service routing. Its current record does not provide cabinet dimensions or pendant-cable length. Request those details with the layout drawing instead of planning the operating station around an image.

Portability does not mean movement while carrying a vehicle

For the 6010B/6010C, confirm the supplied pads, removable mobility kit and accessory list in the order. The product instructions summarized in the current record require the vehicle to be removed and the lift fully lowered before repositioning with the kit. Do not interpret “portable” as permission to move the lift under load.

The cover illustration shows the 3T configuration. It is not evidence that the 4T version has identical dimensions or that every pictured accessory is included. For the planned working position, obtain the applicable setup and operating instructions and have site suitability checked against them.

Use an equipment schedule that the buyer and installer can both read

Before confirming an order, record:
1. Exact model: 6010B, 6010C or another identified lift.
2. Release method: the quoted standard configuration or confirmed option.
3. Input voltage, phase, frequency and matching motor configuration.
4. Any air-supply requirement documented for the selected release version.
5. Included pads, mobility equipment and other accessories.
6. Power-unit or cabinet location, connection routing and available working space.
7. Model-specific installation, setup and operating documents.

Send EHRLE your vehicle range, intended service work, available electrical supply and any existing compressed-air provision. Request written confirmation of unresolved items before arranging installation. Vehicle lifting points, pad access and load distribution remain separate suitability checks; a correct utility specification does not establish vehicle compatibility.

FAQ: Does every 6010B or 6010C need compressed air?

Do not assume a universal requirement. Electric lock release is the listed standard, and pneumatic release is an order option. Confirm the exact supplied version and its documented utilities.

FAQ: Does “24 V control voltage” mean I can supply the entire lift with 24 V?

No. The record separately lists the input-supply options and the control voltage. Confirm the input voltage, phase and frequency for the ordered power unit using its supplied documentation.

FAQ: Can I select the air pressure from another scissor-lift manual?

No. The current 6010B/6010C record gives no universal pressure value. Obtain the requirement for the exact pneumatic-release configuration being supplied.
