DESIGNED FOR THE TASK

EC500 equipment overview

A repair bay needs space for the vehicle, the technician and the equipment moving around them. The EC500 places its connecting structure overhead and uses 45° asymmetric columns. This arrangement is intended for passenger-vehicle inspection and repair, with door access determined by the actual vehicle position and body dimensions rather than capacity alone.

A 2.2 kW motor powers the hydraulic system, with 110 V, 220 V or 380 V versions listed for different workshop supplies. The equipment includes single-side manual lock release and automatic arm locking. Its published width measurements describe different parts of the lift, so the installation plan should distinguish overall width, column spacing and the drive-through opening.

01

Overhead structure and asymmetric columns

The clear-floor configuration uses 45° asymmetric columns. Vehicle positioning and door clearance remain part of bay planning, particularly when several body styles share the same lift.

02

Defined lifting and access dimensions

The EC500 is rated at 5,000 kg, with 1,800 mm maximum lifting height and 90 mm minimum height. The 2,500 mm drive-through opening is distinct from the 2,840 mm clear distance between columns.

03

Hydraulic drive and arm restraint

The listed equipment uses a VIBO hydraulic power unit, metal hydraulic oil pipes, single-side manual lock release and automatic arm locking. Follow the operating sequence specified for the supplied lift.

Passenger-vehicle repair and inspection

Suitable projects include dealership service bays and independent workshops performing underbody, suspension and wheel service. Vehicle weight, load distribution, approved lifting points and arm reach must all fit the selected arrangement.

Mixed passenger-car and SUV service bays

Potential applications include sedans, SUVs, MPVs, pickups, electric vehicles and hybrids. These are vehicle categories for assessment, not a blanket fit guarantee; low bodies and battery housings require particular attention to pad access.

MODEL QUESTIONS

Questions about EC500

How does the EC500 differ from the EC600?

The EC500 is rated at 5,000 kg and is 3,720 mm high; the EC600 is rated at 6,000 kg and is 4,500 mm high. Both list 1,800 mm maximum lifting height and 2,840 mm clear spacing between posts. The EC500 specifically lists 45° asymmetric columns, while motor and power-supply choices also differ between the models.

Which EC500 width should I use for bay planning?

Use 3,500 mm for the plan-view overall width, 3,260 mm for the front-view upper width, 2,840 mm for clear column spacing and 2,500 mm for drive-through width. These describe different measuring positions. Working access and vehicle-door movement require additional space beyond the equipment dimensions.

Does the 90 mm minimum height establish fit for every low car?

No. The 90 mm figure describes the published minimum lift height. A low vehicle also needs compatible lifting points, sufficient pad access, suitable arm reach and an acceptable load distribution. Bodywork, side skirts and underfloor components can affect positioning even when vehicle weight is below 5,000 kg.

What does the 45° asymmetric layout mean for vehicle access?

The columns are arranged at the listed 45° asymmetric angle. Vehicle-door opening and entry or exit are planning considerations for this layout. Available door clearance still depends on vehicle width, door geometry and the position of the vehicle between the columns.
